20 Week Ultrasound

May 24th, 2008 by Seth

We had our 20 week ultrasound this past Wednesday.  The ultrasound showed that all of the babies are doing well and growing right along schedule.  The babies are weighing in at close to a pound each!  We didn’t get a chance to scan in the latest ultrasound pictures yet, but we should be getting them scanned and posted early next week.  Until we get those pictures posted here is a cute picture of Jaclyn’s ever-growing belly:

A special thanks to Darlene for finding the triplet doll stroller.  The Chislets are going to have a blast playing with this!

Stopping to smell the roses … at Costco

I hit the 20 week mark in my pregnancy on Monday, which marks the pivotable point in my pregnancy at which my doctor told me that I need to “slow down.”  Knowing that the end of my freedom was coming, I was anxious to run a bunch of errands this past weekend.  We spent Saturday hanging out with Jen, Neil and Kelly; so Sunday was the only day left for errands.  Instead of rushing through my errands as I usually would, I took them all at a leisurely pace.  (This is partly because I can no longer walk as fast as I used to, but also partly due to the fact that I wanted to take everything in and enjoy these last few days out of the house.)  We ran a bunch of errands; we went to mall; to DSW; to the grocery store and to Costco.  At Costco, Seth and I meandered up and down ever aisle.  I checked out every new item and every item that has been there since it opened last year.  I made sure to sample EVERY one of the samples — after all it will be months before I get to try these samples again!

Thirty tiny toes, tickling my tummy

May 4th, 2008 by Jaclyn

So I started feeling movement this week.  The doctors call it quickening, but I think tickling is a much more accurate term.  When the Chislets move around, it feels like little bubbles tickling the inside of my belly.  I usually feel them move a couple times a day and I tend to concentrate more on the movement, than on what I am supposed to be doing.  Thursday, while work was going on around me – I was sitting there with a silly smile on face, thinking about the babies and taking in this new feeling.  Thank goodness that I work with such nice people!  They were all just as excited as I was when I told them that I was feeling the babies moving around!

I can’t wait until I can tell which of the babies is kicking.  Right now, most of what I feel is so low that I blame it on Baby “A”.  Poor Baby “A”, not even born yet and he is already getting blamed for everything!  I am also convinced that he is the one that pushes on my bladder at 3:00 AM, making me get out of bed long before I am ready to.

16 Week Ultrasound

May 1st, 2008 by Seth

We had our 16 week ultrasound appointment on Monday and found out some exciting news.  The doctor is 95% positive that we are having two boys and a girl!  Babies “A” and “C” are boys and Baby “B” is a girl (that’s BGB for those keeping up on cool triplet lingo).  The doctor also said that everyone is still growing right on schedule.  Babies “A” and “B” are measuring 6 ounces each and Baby “C” is measuring 5 ounces.  Unfortunately, the ultrasound pictures were not very clear this time.  Hopefully our 18 week ultrasound pictures will be better.
